From craftsman :
As Washi is traditional Japanese paper. To make Mizuhiki, washi is cut into long
strips and twisted together to produce a strong twine then pasted it and dyed.
The finished product, Mizuhiki is extremely strong.
Mizuhiki used for
decorations of woman's hair as head wear. Motoyui (Mottoi) is another
kind.
Mizuhiki is also used to decorate envelopes to express thanks,
gratitude and condolence. |

The History :
Way back when, A Japanese delegate to China brought back
a gift to the Japanese Emperor. That single gift with a red and white loose
knot-like decoration become known as Mizuhiki and its custom began a traditional
in Japan.
In Edo period, some of off-duty Samurai learned the craft of
Mizuhiki. They made Motoyui (Mottoi) that used to use for top-knots hair style
(Chonmage). Craftsmen, however, using such of knowledges and has been
maintaining over centuries and diffreciated them.

The craftsman whom we contacted is legitimate successor. He
presented his works to Imperial House of Japan!!
Family Crest & other solid works are
recommended!!
Kamon (family crest) are Japanese heraldic
symbols. Only noble class was allowed having the crest in Europe. On the other
hand, every family have Kamon regardless of position in Japan. And every Kamon
have meaning.
Louis Vuitton's monogram was influenced
by this design of Kamon.

| 1. getting order super Japanese paper from expert in Shikoku district. twisting it and dipping it in water with special tool. |
2. pulling dipped paper strings at Hazaba (special equipment) and draining the water |
3. stringing them and letting clothes in an opening of each strings |

| 4. spreading mixed powder (rice & seaweed) to strings and drying it in outdoor | 5. starching (paste) made of rice | 6. after drying, polishing it up with specialty bamboo. |

We have having direct deal and negotiation with craftsman.
Expected completion time will be between 2-4 weeks (in case of having lots of orders or by depending on craftsman's circumstances and physical condition, maybe it takes more.), depending on the specification. But there is a probability of delay since all items should be made by a craftsman deliberately.
